Minturn Community Garden – Apply Today!

Dig in and become a member of the 2015 community garden! The garden is located on the 200 block between Pine and Boulder Streets and is an idyllic space for green thumbs to gather. Minturn Summer Block Parties Are Back!

It's time to throw a few burgers on the grill and get to know the neighbors! Teenage Pregnancy Prevention Day at Pazzo’s: Wed May 6

Town of Avon Community Cleanup Week: May 11-15

This year, the Town of Avon Community Cleanup Week is May 11 - 15. Avon Public Works offers residents free curbside pickup of unwanted materials including large items such as washers, dryers or furniture and yard waste. SOS Outreach

SOS Outreach, a non-profit that serves underserved Eagle County youth, is now hiring mentors and volunteers for the 2014 season.  You will help with 5 ride days on the mountain, 2-3 community service projects, have an opportunity to go on a backpacking or camping trip next summer, and keep in contact with up to 6 of your youth throughout the year.  More information can be found at sosoutreach.org and by contacting Ben at bdodd@sosoutreach.org or at 970-926-9292 ext. 105.

Court-Appointed Special Advocates

Court-Appointed Special Advocates provide service to children who are victims of abuse and neglect.  CASA volunteers work with the courts advocating for children in Eagle, Summit and Lake Counties.  Volunteers stay with each case until it is closed and the child is placed in a safe, permanent home.  If you are interested in volunteering for CASA and giving children a voice, then please call 970-513-9390 or logon to mtncasa.org.
